TITLE: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/ISEE COORDINATOR

JOB SUMMARY

The Technology Administrative Assistant/ISEE Coordinator will assist the Technology Director in delivering IT Services to district students and employees and acting as a crucial part of the District’s state report.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. High school diploma; preference may be given to applicants with a relevant college education.

2. Valid driver’s license and access to a suitable vehicle for transportation to all supported sites.

3. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

5. High level of reliability and responsibility.

6. Must be flexible, committed, energetic, and receptive to change.

7. Must have a mindset of customer service, quality, and efficiency.

8. Proficiency with data manipulation tools such as Microsoft Excel, the Pandas library, R, etc.

9. Able to work under deadlines.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY TO:

Technology Director

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

General

1. Maintain departmental records, plans, guides, websites, and standard operating procedures.

2. Actively seek out ways to improve the effectiveness of department operations.

3. Serve as a contact point for district staff and students in requesting IT services.

4. Write technical training materials for varying audiences.

Project Coordination

1. Coordinate department-related project goals, work plans, timelines, implementation strategies, and plans.

2. Plan, facilitate, and conduct meetings.

3. Assist in the preparation of applications and other pertinent documentation to secure project funding.

4. Order and maintain supplies and equipment for department and component schools.

5. Perform scheduling/calendar duties.

6. Receive and distribute mail and packages.

7. Provide support on helpdesk tickets as applicable.

8. Provide general administrative support to the supervisor of the department.

State-Reporting/ISEE

1. Act as the initial point of contact for all ISEE-related inquiries.

2. Collect, format, and possibly submit educational data to the State Department of Education.

3. Run various reports to verify the accuracy of previous state submissions.

4. Coordinate with the representatives and officials from the SDE to improve training and data validity.

Other

1. Provide support in the development of district policies related to the use of instructional technology, computer software, and online services.

2. Keep the immediate supervisor informed of activities and any issues that may arise.

3. Represent the school district in a positive manner.

4. Know and follow school district policy and chain of command.

5. Attend staff meetings and in-services as required.

6. Maintain confidentiality among staff and students.

7. Perform other duties as assigned.

EVALUATION

Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Technology Director in conformance with federal law, Idaho Code, administrative rules, and Board Policy.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

This position shall be considered in all respects “employment at will”. The “employment period” and other descriptions and terms outlined in this job description shall not create a property right for the employee. These are set forth only to advise the employee of when and what type of services will be required by the district so long as the employment continues.

NOTE

All certificated and non-certificated employees and other individuals are required to undergo a criminal history check and submit to fingerprinting. Any applicant convicted of any of the felony crimes enumerated in Section § 33-1208, Idaho Code may not be hired, and any applicant convicted of any felony offense listed in Section § 33-1208(2), Idaho Code shall not be hired.
